  1. ★★★★slow performance and long loading times

Terrible Interface. The new app is absolutely horrible. Way too slow and uneasy on the eyes. Go back to the old app asap.

Must purchase membership account to use app.. Downloaded the app but immediately asks for login. No offline data available.

Great for Pelagics...so-so for other species. I'm on my 1st year membership with FishDope and the website and this app provide good info on pelagic species like tuna or yellowtail. However reports on species such as island based white sea bass, barracuda, or even island based yellows is very limited and sporadic. As an example, hot bite reports for the Channel Islands are basically blank daily. And reports consolidating info such as party boat catches from local landings are not provided. Also, charts show where fish were caught, but comments associated to the "fish icons" reflect what type, but do not reflect the details on numbers and spots reported in daily reports found in the web. Full details in the charts app would not be required, but some detail would be useful such as "Jul 3rd - 3 yellowfin at the 43"; "large schools sighted at 209". The bottom line is, highly recommend FishDope..... if you fish pelagic species in US waters near Mexico or Mexican waters.

Don’t leave the dock without it!. I’ve been using the Fishdope service for over 10 years. It has put us on the fish or in the general vicinity trip after trip. If you live in Southern California and have a boat, it is an absolute no-brainer.

Fisherman’s dream!. I never thought I would see as much information and personal help from an app ! Can’t wait until the big fish comes in closer to shore when the water really warms up! My rating is JUST AWESOME!!👍😳

A Must have. This app is a must for west coast private boaters. While I would love to keep this info as secret as possible, It feels wrong to not help others save thousands a year on fuel like I do. To know the most up to date fish reports and coordinates saves me hours of research and thousands of dollars on my fuel bill each year. I can go exactly where the fish are by information from the Fish Dope spotter planes and employed commercial and charter captains. Why would you not pay the couple hundred a year. I save that in 1 trip. The alternative is finding a needle in a haystack out there on the deep blue. When gas is $6+ a gallon at the fuel dock and You get only a few hall passes from the old lady, each chance you get to fish is priceless. Make that trip count.

Best App. If I could rate this app more than 5 stars I would! It is designed perfectly & has been very helpful keeping me informed. I use it everyday!

  12. ★★★★★stable and reliable performance

A must have!. Fishdope is an essential tool for any serious boater looking to stay ahead of the bite. Packed with up-to-date daily intel, the app delivers reports on where the fish are biting, detailed water temp and color charts, and expert tips that help you plan the perfect trip before you even hit the water. Fish Dope saves you time and fuel by putting the most accurate and reliable fishing info right at your fingertips — it’s like having a network of seasoned captains in your pocket, guiding you to where the action is hottest.

Best Saltwater Fishing Reports. The Fishdope app and website are the best fishing reports, info, and planning in So Cal. They use spotter planes to find fish no one knows about and posts it right on the app. My fishing trips went from clueless to catching almost every time using their info. The app even works without wifi connection by downloading the info before leaving on a trip.

Southern California Best Offshore Info. This is the number one app for offshore fishing in Southern California. It has become a must have for private boaters. Excellent coverage. MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE A SERIOUS FISHERMAN. FD is a must have if you are a serious angler in SoCal. I have saved hundreds of dollars worth of fuel and hours of time because of their daily updates and information. Let’s not forget about their interactive SST & Chlorophyll maps they offer to help put together your own game plan offshore. Unlike any other service out there!

Next level awesomeness!. It’s an excellent compilation of all the report data. The app excels is offshore fishing,But is also great for any trip to anyone of our islands. Even if fuel was not almost 7 dollars a gallon, The time you save by getting to where the bluefin were 10 or 12 hours ago just cannot be beat for the yearly fee. When they have the plane spotting service, once a week I believe, you are truly set up for success. It can also save you a trip when it’s not worth going out, that alone is priceless. If a full tank is $500, the price of the subscription is peanuts.

This is a great app!. I like the app. A lot. I like that it integrates well with the FishDope membership and daily updated information. Best part is the chart displaying your real-time location in relation to the information(tempbreaks, chloroform, hot bites etc) Thank you for an awesome app to help me plan and implement my time on the water efficiently and effectively!

Best fish reporting app for So Cal. The new version of this app is much improved over the old. The fish reports added to the app along with VHF radio is a huge improvement. The charts are way better than they used to be and have all the tools that used to be just for the web version. I love the addition of the wind forecast. If you have a boat and fish in LA/San Diego/ upper Baja area this is a must have tool. They fly an airplane and find schools of fish no one knows about then reports them to the app!

Works as advertised and is mobile. I really like the ability to cache images, take them with me on the water and use my phones GPS to view location on images.
