  1. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

lying app. when you initially sign up for the free trial, they claim they will notify you at day 5/7 of your free trial about renewal and paying for it. However they never did that for me and will lie to you about it as well. Stay far away from this app

  2. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Garbage app garbage company. They didn’t even send a reminder for the payment when i have a code for Father’s Day for a discount being a single father every dollar helps. Will not ever use again.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Old maps. These maps are at least 20 years out of date

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Awful. The lake depths is way off found a cove that was supposed to go from 4ft to 15 ft drop off the whole cove was 3 ft wasted time and gas uninstall

  5. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Many apps have the same information but more for less. EDIT: Not only is everything I said still true but I noticed the app said this..”Unfortunately, it's not possible to provide a release date for when a given state will be available—check out the onX Fish website periodically and subscribe to our mailing list and socials to stay updated! Dan • April 18, 2025”. It’s been this way since 2025, so you can pretty much expect nothing new for well over a year, meaning probably longer. I initially signed up because my ford app told me I had a year free, unfortunately I didn’t notice that the app only supported a minuscule scale of the country (ESPECIALLY compared to other apps that do the same), but it was too late by the time I realized. Even if it wasn’t for free, the price and the incredible lack of support for some of the most fished places in the county “California, Oregon, Washington” is downright disrespectful almost.

  6. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Not worth the price. I have the onx hunt and I love that. I feel that onx fish doesn’t provide enough to justify 35 bucks a year when I’m already paying for hunt. Also a lot of boat launches aren’t on the map.

  7. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Free trial. App seems to want me to purchase a year to get a free trial. Nope.

  8. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Junk. This doesn’t even give the topo of any small inland lakes. Then they want to charge the same price as the onx hunt 🤣 I’ll never purchase this. The fact that you’re trying to sell this is astonishing. This should be included with onx hunt for the price of hunt alone. Greedy much???

  9. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Keeps telling me to subscribe. I paid for an annual membership but the app constantly tells me to subscribe to a membership. Very annoying.

  10. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Missing info. I tried the free trial and was sadly disappointed that there was no information on red lake and lake of the woods. Two of the most popular lakes in Minnesota ??

  11. ★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data

Inaccurate. GPS sucks on these maps. You aren’t where it says you are on the lake contours. At least 40-60’ off which is unacceptable

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    A. Very little contouring

  13. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Garbage doesn’t LOW. how can a fishing app not include the MN side of lake of the woods or red lake. No topo maps for either lake. Duped into buying this.

  14. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Another payment…. Was great until you made it a subscription. I figured maybe with onx elite you would include it. You took all your information from hotspots and local DNR info you can all find on the we . Would be worth half that cost if depth contours were close to accurate. I’d rather pay for navionics. Nice try.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Won’t use again.. I tried this app out when it was being offered for free for onX hunt elite members. The app had very little information in pertaining to individual lakes. And would give a broad overview or nothing at all. The maps are the only feature but would often be drastically different than reality. Depth charts were also wrong. I have switched to a different mapping software.

  16. ★★★★privacy and excessive permissions

Took money without permission. DON’T DOWNLOAD

  17. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Terrible app. Supported in only 4 states not helpful at all don’t recommend if you’re not in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota

  18. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not worth it. Before pushing a product out advertising Midwest states, maybe wait until you have data for all the states besides 4…WACK!

  19. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Midwest?. I did free trial and it is NOT Midwest. Just 4 states. Hard pass

  20. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No info and not worth money. They don’t even have enough information but they way they promote the app it feels like you will get more information which is not there.

  21. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not worthy of annual fees. The maps are far from accurate. And all of the data they are charging for is leached off the MNDNR lake finder. It is sad they went this route. Just us lakefinder.com like most of used before this bait and switch app came along.

  22. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not open for all of the Midwest. It’s only open for Minnesota and over so if your in one of the dakotas or over it’s not supported by the app rendering it useless until they hopefully add the rest of the Midwest on there

  23. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Montana. No support in Montana that’s stupid what a stupid app absolutely do not recommend

  24. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Missing a lot. I love the onX off-road app. This is not that, it misses a lot of good fishing spots but charges for a premium fishing app, but only gives you a tiny part of the fishing areas. It doesn’t give on shore fishing spots. I’m sure it will improve but it’s not worth the money.

  25. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Only 2 states, really?. The app looks promising but it only works in MN and WI, which me being a western angler, I will never fish. For now it is completely useless until they add the western states, therefore 1 star.

  26. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Topography. I was so excited for this app because I use the onx app for hunting. The topography and fish specifications for this app are way off. It doesn’t just miss on depth charts, but it doesn’t show sunken islands, shallow areas, or even deep areas for ice fishing. I want to use this app but I won’t until it does through some serious updates.

  27. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Detail not there. I have used a lot of mapping for many decades. I was hoping on X Fish would have the level of detail that could help you make decisions on where to go to zoom in on exact structure. They simply are not there yet. It will help with general information, but does not get you very detailed contours. Easy to use however. Interaction is great. Just need better maps.

  28. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Where are all the maps. I live in Northern MN so that is where I primarily fish. You are missing over half of the lakes that Navionics has maps for but you do not. Why would I pay $35/ year for maps for only most of the big lakes. I expect more from OnX. Not less. This is app is disappointing until you have all of the maps. The DNR has them available. I won’t use this anymore until they cover all the lakes.

  29. ★★★★★карты глубин и точки на воде

OnX Fish-Midwest. I love the OnX hunt platform, and really looked forward to trying this app so I could start compiling my fishing data all in one place. A lot of my fishing starts with identifying mid-lake structure that holds fish, Unfortunately the contours on this app lack critical detail and don’t seem to match any other data I have, causing me to have to switch between multiple apps to compare my personal data with contours. Im fairly disappointed and will be cancelling my subscription.

  30. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Lack of info. Major rivers and lakes in Michigan don’t have topo lines which is why I subscribed I hope things fixed soon it doesn’t even show shipping channels
