Garbage. Can’t even try the app. As soon as you click on it it’s like a pop-up every one second.

Too many adds. Adds pop up constantly trying to get you to pay for upgrades. Deleted

Pointless. I signed up for OnWater and thought I had canceled my subscription, only to find out I was charged for a full year. While that was frustrating, the bigger issue is that the app simply isn’t worth the money. The most useful feature is locating nearby boat ramps. Beyond that, there isn’t much value that can’t be found for free through other fishing apps, state resources, weather services, or a quick Google search. The app relies heavily on user-generated fishing reports and catches, but most anglers aren’t interested in sharing productive fishing spots with strangers. Because of that, there isn’t enough quality information being shared to make the community features useful. The platform also appears to have a relatively small user base, which further limits the value of those features. The AI fishing assistant is another disappointment. It feels like a watered-down version of ChatGPT or Google’s AI tools. The answers are often generic and don’t provide any information I couldn’t find elsewhere. If you’re advertising AI as a premium feature, it needs to offer something unique or useful enough to justify its existence. Customer support wasn’t much better. The support chat bot doesn’t actually provide meaningful assistance—it simply tells you someone will contact you by email. If that’s the case, why not just provide a direct email option from the start instead of making users go through a chat system that doesn’t solve anything? The pricing structure also feels excessive. There are multiple paid tiers, but the lower-priced membership is so limited that it barely feels worthwhile. Many of the features locked behind the higher tier are things I would expect any paying subscriber to receive. When compared to Fishbrain and several other fishing apps, OnWater falls short in terms of community, features, and overall value. I paid for a year and honestly feel like I wasted my money. Unless the user base grows significantly and the premium features improve, I wouldn’t recommend paying for this app.

Can’t login or signup?. I was advertised this add on Facebook, I do a lot of fishing and thought I’d give it a chance. App downloaded fine, but if I try to login or register it just goes right back to the login page and the login buttons won’t work to Sign in with Apple or Google. The app is broken or something. It’s not my internet connection, or my phone, or anything like that, the app just simply won’t work. I’d love for this to be resolved so I can actually give a legitimate review, but right now, until this issue is fixed, I’ll give it 1 star. Can’t login, can’t do anything.

Fish. I can’t even get the app to open up.

Charged full price on 50% off. I downloaded it and got the pop up to use for free, get premium, or pro. Premium was 49.99 per year and was too much for just getting the app but a pop up offered a one time 50% off coupon then 49.99 next year so I took it but my card shows it was charged the full price with tax of 51.91. Very very disappointed in this fraudulent bait and switch tactic. The contact us support option in the app does is completely broken and unusable.

Useless. This is the most useless app I’ve ever seen. It literally is just a map with zero information about fish.

Upgrade spam. Every time i click on something i get prompted to upgrade. Seems like all they care about is money.

Would’ve gave it no stars if I could downloaded for high hopes but this app literally sucks most. Would’ve gave it no stars if I could downloaded for high hopes but this app literally sucks most of the body’s of water everywhere don’t have anything , and for 89 dollars a year this is pointless just use Fishbrain , shows you everything everywhere

Rug pull subscription. Have been a “premium” member since December and suddenly there are “Pro” features which are unavailable. In December there was no designation and Premium was the highest level subscription until it wasn’t. Wish i kept TroutRoutes. No i’m stuck in the annoying mid tier.

Doesn’t work, complete scam. Horrible app. Don’t waste your time or money.
- ★★★★★trial charges and refunds
Thief’s. Click on free trial and they still charged me for the year right away. What part of free trial is so hard. App sucks and was garbage. Worthless app and garbage people for the tricks to get you to try it and charge for it

No good for Florida. I fish the Indian River. This app must be just for freshwater fish. I don’t see ANYTHING like catch available. Save your money. I wish I could get a refund.

Limited Date. Looked at free version and there were so many icons on the map you could barely see the locations. Signed up and paid and there are no longer icons there, maybe 2-3 where there were once 100’s.

This app is TRASH. Compared to the other paid fishing apps this one is a joke. It provides little to no information even with premium it has nothing because no one is using it. Don’t waste your time here there are plenty of other well managed apps where the creator actually put effort into it. The fact you have a premium membership for an app that doesn’t even do half the things it advertises and is clearly incredibly unfinished is wild

Falls short. The app is a great idea but it falls short of useful info that can be intuitively found

Crashing. App crashes and closes every time I click a flow station on the map

Another Map Based App. Like the other 500 fishing apps, onwater offers more of the same. Busy mapping with information you can get for free with a quick google search. Truly un innovative. Couple added features to hook you with paying… nothing you can’t go without.

Meh. Really annoying requests to leave reviews that block app functionality

Deceptive. This app is not “FREE”. Only on your free trial for 7 days is it free. After that you pay to play.

AI generated fail. Don’t waste the money. Go with onX. Thank me later

Over charges.. Was offered 50% discount and was charged full subscription price.

I don’t get it. Doesn’t show me anything in my area that I can’t get off other apps for free (midwest). Found it pretty worthless.

Not what it says. Very little to poor info

Money Grab. They advertise it as free but it’s useless unless you pay their fees.

Difficult to figure out. I can’t figure out any info on flows on this app

Won’t open. All I get is the ‘start fishing…’ overlay screen that I cannot close. Closed app, deleted and re-installed. No luck.
