   Subscription. I subscribed to the app and every time I try and do something it sends me back to the subscription page. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

   Not what I was hoping for. I was drawn to this over being able to make a bathmetric map but you don’t even get to view that until you’ve mapped 70% of the lake. Dude I’m on a kayak, the lake is thousands of acres with lots of areas I simply can’t paddle to and back out from. So I will never get to enjoy this product for the very reason I bought it for. Connectivity cuts in and out while just sitting there. There’s been several times where I think I’m on the edge of a contour line and then my icon glitches and then when it catches up I’m way off from where I thought. I’ve gotten in the water and within 15 seconds I’m not moving on the map even though I’m moving. It freezes and then jumps to where I am. The app is trash. If you’re serious about fishing go with something else.

   Worthless piece of junk. Connectivity is spotty (at best) even with both the Sonar unit and Phone fully charged. Most of the time the App displays nothing; no depth reading, no contour, no fish, just a blank screen, you may as well be looking at a Sonar Scan of an empty Parking Lot. So you’re basically paying $100+ for nothing more than a Bobber (or a paper weight). The only reason why I gave this 1 Star is because 0 Stars is not an option. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk, you'd be better off throwing the $100 into the water. And the Customer "Support" is even worse. They claim that minor scratches (that are not even as deep as the Serial Number etched into the unit) are indications of "lots of physical impacts against hard objects", so they are using that as an excuse to absolve themselves from any responsibility for the product.

   Maps wont load. I purchased a deeper pro plus hoping to be able to to take this out on my kayak. There isn’t always service out on Lake Mead, Nevada. I understand it’s a large amount, but my deeper app has been running for 15 minutes and the map still won’t load.

   Deeper pro fish finder. Seems this is fake or broken. Every time i go to the river it says there is alot of fish. I fish for salmon/ steelhead and i got this for making sure there was fish and to see how deep to adjust my bobber and bait. Litterslly everywhere i have gone it seem there are anywhere from 30-200 fish but no bites. Fished 15 hours yesterday, not a dam thing. But i had my bait “ right in their faces “ from what the deeper pro had to say. Never used one of these before and honestly was a huge waste of money. Been using it the last couple months to find out its a scam. Unless mines broken, but its new so i doubt it.

   Horrible customer service. They don’t stand firm to their word on warranty so I didn’t get another one I got a garment cast and I am happy now. They tried to contact me after they saw this review and tried to contact me basically to explain that it’s still my fault the eye bolt unthreaded🤦‍♂️

   Not that great at all. There are lots of things that could be a great deal better than they are with this app and with the device. For one, you can only view one scan at a time in the app meeting if you lose the connection between the phone and your device, which happens all the time btw, and have to start a new scanning session. You can’t look at them both at the same time. Often a lake ends up broken down into a dozen separate scans so you can see how this would be a major downfall. For another thing it’s really a device. Anything that is used in the manner these are, as in thrown long distances outside should be made to withstand some impact, but these really are not mine broke on its third bouncing off of a rock, having fallen only a foot and not free fall, but just penduluming towards my feet at the shoreline. The housing did not cracked but the computer and the battery both have failed as a result.

   Dreadful. Want to risk a private waterway’s privacy? Create an account and boat/gps scan it. Anyone will then be able to view its location with your depersonalized data. So sure, it’s not your exact scan, but the location is given away…I even see a dirt access road traced out; which is insanely weird, because it was named… along with the body of water (both of which are nameless on any other map you could possibly find). Someone created bogus information... And apparently, you need to “own” the land to have blue pin removed from global maps… I need to text owner to inform them their property is at risk. Essentially a scheme to give away locations to all the grubs who pay, or scan their way into Premium. Another thing is; nowhere do they mention guest mode keeps your scans off global maps, I found that in here as a response to someone else’s review. Never making an account would be your best bet if you happen to have a honey hole. All I can really do is chuckle though, most people would be fooled by the fish in the spot I scanned. They know who’s boss.

    Decent hardware, utterly scummy company. After spending $400 on a device, I kinda expect the app to be free, you know? Not only does this company charge for the use of their app’s advanced features, their privacy policy is basically “lol you have no privacy.” It consists of three separate agreements where they explain that they will hoover up as much personal information as possible, and then use it to advertise to you. I suspect this will be one of those apps whose notifications privileges will be quickly revoked for spamming.

    Cool new stuff not available without 13ios or up. Was not happy to find that I don’t get the cool new options just released in the update because the bigger screen I bought to use with the app for trips only can run 12.5.5ios. What a waist of money. Not a happy camper

    Will this app ever work?. For how much this device is, you’d expect the app to work. But it doesn’t! So frustrating I would never recommend this to anyone, Ever. Rip off!!!

    Not a Deeper Chirp Problem. I bought a Deeper Pro + together with the Deeper Smart App. It worked great for 2 years until the rechargeable battery went dead so decided to get the Deeper Chirp with a 5 year warranty. When I went to test it out the Deeper Chirp I switched Apps from “Deeper Smart” to “Fish Deeper”. The “Fish Deeper “ App displayed fish icons at the top of the screen indicating water depth of 12 feet when icon was in shallow water of 2 feet. The fish icons didn’t match the water depth which is where they should be across from the water depth. I thought the Deeper Chirp was the problem, but when I switched back to the “Deeper Smart App” it worked fine. Will you the Deeper Smart App” with my Deeper Chirp until they get the bugs worked out of the “ Fish Deeper App”.

    New app is significantly worse than old. So many problems making this expensive purchase little more than a neat paperweight. Use case: I go ice fishing once or twice a year in northern Minnesota, anywhere from 8 to 25 miles from shore. There is ZERO cellular reception on an average day. Problem 1: the app and device literally cannot be used without cellular reception. I have to log into the app just to get a depth reading. What nonsense is that? And there’s no cellular signal on the ice, so the device I brought along gets put away. Absolutely unforgivable. A guest mode or some way to skip login. I spent better than an hour trying to figure out a way to skip the login screen and did not see a way. Problem 2: went on shore overnight. Got the device logged in. Still insane, but whatever. Opened the old app and discovered it had been logged out... glad I caught that before going out without signal! Ready for the final day of fishing! Get on the ice, drop it in a hole, open the new app... “Too deep/shallow” error, no readings at all. What? Deeper doesn’t work in 30 feet of water? Open the old app... immediate depth reading and sounding chart. Open new app again... ‘too deep/shallow’. So the new app is just trash and doesn’t work in 30 feet of water, but has a nice UI. Go get the old one instead. Or avoid the inane issue of requiring a cloud login to use a physical device and get a physical depth flasher.

    Black screen. Despite I like new UI much more I had to remove this app and back using the old one. When i launch this app on water i get just a blank black screen all the times.

    Not very good.. This new app is not very good. Water death is off. I get a too shallow reading when it 10 feet. I’ve yet to catch a fish where it says they are this season. The spot I did catch was my normal spot. The deeper did not show any fish. So idk. What to think about this. Seems to only show fish when it’s moving. Old app worked better.

    No accurate. This app is not even accurate when it comes to reading water depth. In 8 feet of water it reads as 3 feet? This app is no good just use the Deepersmartsonar app.

    When on LAN App. Fails to Authenticate. App. Does not authenticate while on LAN with Proxy server enabled. Only when on cellular network does the app. function properly.

    App doesn’t work. I purchased a monthly subscription through the app which generated an error. The fee has been taken from my account but whenever I try to look at maps it asks me to subscribe again. If I try it tells me I already am subscribed. Tried to get help through chat support only to be told it need to go to second level which will take 4 working days. Not good enough.

    Premium plus. Not playing ball! So paid for the premium plus and it has charged me but won’t work. Contacted deeper but service wasn’t basically telling me I hadn’t got premium plus then I sent a screenshot shot then go oh sorry, we will escalate but I’m still waiting and getting frustrated because I paid for a service but have no joy so far

    Horrible app. Doesn’t show the icon fish🤦🏻‍♂️…I try all things on app like show fish button and nothing,all buttons you try,doesn’t show anything!only squares instead of fishes 😏… I’m not gone pay at all this app also doesn’t alarm when the fish is find😏…horrible!! I’m using Deeper start,your sonar product 😏👍

    Ruined by sales pitch. This was a great app until they started to input sales pitches to upgrade to the purchases now they just get in the way. Wasted money not recommend to buy this product.

    Pro +. So you update the chirps so any one else that has the older version is just a waste of time you need all the updates for all not just people with the up-to date finders Not happy

    Bring back the Deeper pro app!!. Been using the deeper app for a couple of years with no issue at all!!. Since downloading this poor excuse of an app I have been left with a deeper pro that I cannot use!! Yes it’s connect.... eventually Cast out.... not connected anymore Reel back in..... still not connected Lift pro out of the water and put it back in.... it connects... eventually. Then just repeat the above, again and again and again 😡😡😡 Please don’t tell me to contact you with more info as that’s all I can tell you!! Just explain what’s wrong on here and not by others on personal emails Now stuck with a device I’m not able to use.

    Just stopped working. First time out and was mapping out my swim, lost connection a few times after casting but that’s not a major hassle as easy to reconnect. What is a problem however is that the app no longer displays anything although the deeper is connected as when you lift it out of the water it tells you that it’s been removed from the water. Put it back in and nothing at all, app then periodically freezes. Tried reinstalling the app and still doesn’t work, not very happy and will be returning if not fixed asap!
