Email for everything. I can’t use this because it requires I put in an email to do anything but look at articles

Waste of time. Bought this to identify a fish my son just caught. Had the option to skip the login but nothing worked unless I signed up for an account. Signed up for a user account and confirmed email. It misidentified the fish and when I tried to ID it again it said I was out of credits. My son used google lens and it got it right in seconds, and he didn’t even have to sign into an account. What a waste of time.

NOT FREE APP. You need to pay to use it IS NOT FOR FREE

Very poor software. Didn’t identify the fish neither stored the picture of the fish to clarify later

Works part time. Be nice if the identification occurred before the fish die I will not be renewing

Not useful offshore!. Used during free trial one time to identify type of grouper. It could not and wanted to be connected to internet to work. Who has that 30 miles offshore.

Internet Require. With internet is great works like a charm without it useless it doesn’t work you can’t even see the regulations offline I don’t recommend if you don’t have a constant connection I wish they add a offline version.

is mot free. you said at the advertising is free when you download have to paid
- ★★★★★trial charges and refunds
Not use your friendly, and there is no way to cancel your membership. Stay far away from this app, they advertise that you can have a free three day trial and cancel any time, but you cannot cancel anytime. You’re locked into your commitment

Annoying App. Makes you sign into an account to bait you into thinking it’s going to do what the app told you it can do, only to hide it behind a $12 a month minimum pay wall.

Not worth the money. App doesn’t work well. It glitches constantly and doesn’t work often. Save your money.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Not free!!!. You can’t id with out paying

Need cell service. Since I was told to download an off app where do you get that because there is no instructions on where to get the app. Then when o contact the support team there is always a message error, which means I am being blocked

Mis-identifies Pacific fish. I fish in Southern California waters. This app seems useless for Pacific Ocean fish. It insists my yellowfin croaker is a “weakfish” from the Atlantic coastline.

Don’t use this app. This app has zero free features. They charge more than any other app and it has less features. Don’t pay a subscription for feature you can get for free it’s a scam. A one time purchase would have been more understandable but this is robbery.

Not a good app. Once you download the app it will then not let you use it unless you pay. Really tricky of them. Shame on them.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
This is not FREE!. The app is free but 99% of the features cost!
- ★★★★★a needed feature is missing
Cool but doesn’t work offline. When I have cell service, I can manually set my location in advance so I can check the regulations later—even without signal. But when I get there, the app just says *'Fish may be regulated in your area—check regulations.'* That’s what I’m trying to do! It should have an option to download an offline mode for your destination.

Pay 2 Use. To use ANY photo identification features you are required to pay a minimum of $6 for a monthly subscription. Just another money vacuum waiting for forgetful customers. Please use your local DNR website and google to identify fish and find legal limits/restrictions. The money you spend on a fishing license goes toward providing these resources to the public, FOR FREE.

Missing species. Lots of species missing. Doesn’t even have Cod at Cape Cod or Haddock, Pollock and Wolf Fish. And that was just a few species I checked on. Add all the species first, useless in the Northeast.

No help. Caught 2 fish. This app couldn’t identify either.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Need a subscription. Need a subscription to use.
- ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific
No scans. I’m not allowed to do even one lousy scan to determine if I like the app after making an account before I get asked to get my wallet out. One star
- ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific
terrible. google does the same thing for free

Shark. Did identify a shark the wrong kind. Not even close
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Requires internet; useless at sea or during crossings when needed most. This app follows the consumer hostile pattern of everything cloud and subscription. If that isn't a hard pass to start with, it won't work at all at sea or during crossings where internet is often not available. pass.

Not good at all. Fix this or no stars. soon.. couldn’t identify the fish that I catch close an account soon
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Didn’t pay for premium. So I don’t know what the features are. I’m guessing there aren’t any. If it’s a paid app just put a price on it in the store. Stop wasting people’s time

Junk. Waste of time

Consistently incorrect - never wants to let an import happen. ANOTHER UPDATED REVIEW: The photo I scanned has TWO fish laying on ice in our catch hold, whole body shown. Not a dozen. They were caught outside of Washington, I scanned the existing image of the TWO FISH ON ICE when I got back home. If your app has a limited range or service area SAY IT IN THE DESCRIPTION! To not mention it until you want to get argumentative in a solid and honest review of your app is absolutely deceptive business practice. If there’s some special trick to get it to ID correctly when you are out of the area of service how is the user supposed to know? Leave you a bad review that you get your panties in a twist over. Also - no where does it say that your app, that you force people to pay for with a weak trial period, will save our data for you to scrape later, that’s concerning. I’m not interested in ever installing your app as it DOES NOT WORK FOR ME. But go ahead and get defensive and not fix your clunky, incorrect app that only works in certain circumstances. Your app is not good. ______ UPDATED REVIEW: Since the Developer assumed that I was referring to Aquarium Fish and not ANGLED FISH CAUGHT IN TROPICAL WATERS and decided to snap back about it - lowering this down to a 1 star review. Feedback: Your app did not ID a fish caught in salt water, in the lower USA/tropical clime. Your app ID’ed that salt water fish as a mid-western lake fish. If your app can’t cover fish identification outside of fresh water river or lake fish MAKE IT CLEAR. Additional feedback: Listen to your potential subscribers instead of getting defensive and making assumptions instead of opening a dialog with them where you could have potentially gleaned important information that would have helped you improve your app and your customer support. Poor showing on the developers part. I’m not alone in my low opinion of this app. ————— It’s clunky, it’s absolutely way off the mark identifying a salt water tropical as a freshwater lake fish. It doesn’t let you import a photo you’ve taken of your catch it wants to take a photo with the app, buttons are unresponsive. I gave it 10 minutes, and I am highly tech literate, and the frustration and clunkiness made me so angry I cancelled my trial and I’m about to delete the app.
