   Greedy ahh ppl. Genuinely why am I paying for a study tool. I liked this app at first and set it up with my classes and it starts telling me 5 free tasks remaining? It’s a glorified calendar what could I possibly need to pay for. You can’t use the app how it’s intend to be used without paying. Absolutely stupid college kids are already broke enough don’t need to pay to have a tool to help not miss assignments 😂

   New update sucks!!!. I’ve been using this app since my freshmen year in college and it’s my last semester now. But this new update sucks! I lost my account and all my data of schedules, tasks, and exams already inputted into my account. The new user interface is horrible to use, especially with the ads and paid features. I’m so disappointed!!!!!

   New update is greedy trash. I have used this since 2019 and had to stop last semester because of how bad the redesign is. Everything is beyond a paywall it is super buggy and completely different. I switched to todoist and I love that simple design more.

   they ruined it. i used this app for 7 years through high school and college. the recent update has made it unusable. the new design completely ruined a good thing. i was very sad to see how awful the interface is, as i was planning on using it this upcoming semester as i return to college. I am now using Coursicle and it’s fantastic!! Strongly recommend switching.

   Very disappointed at the changes. I had been using this app since highschool and I went on to suggest it to everyone I knew. Now I’m returning to school as a grad student and I am devastated to see the change. The new app is buggy, crashes frequently, no longer a convent layout and it’s clear that it no longer has college and high education in mind with its design. I seriously hope that they just realise a second app that’s the old one. Put a charge on it I’ll pay for it. I’m devastated at this change

   Better options for free. For a quick start, just use Google Calendar A deeper dive: This app unfortunately does not make anything very easy, and is riddled with bugs and crashes. Sure you can add classes but with minimal customization or depth. Adding tasks is hidden behind the paywall, you are only allotted 6 free tasks, which is honestly just offensive if you are a student with even a below average workload. Behind the paywall: I am currently on my 7 day free trial so I have access to all the features and I assure you there is nothing this app offers that Google Calendar doesn’t give you for free. And trying to do any customization to your schedule to make it more personal will result in a crash 9/10 times. In conclusion, this app unfortunately feels like another targeted money grab for students who will throw money at anything that is “catered to school and students.” Just because “study” is in the name does not mean this app is any more resourceful for students than the dozens of other highly developed calendars on the market. The moment I finish this review I am canceling my trial and deleting my account. Good luck to everyone in your educational endeavors, this app will not be part of mine.

   Not worth the money. I am a new user and find this app to be thoroughly disappointing. Setting up your classes is unintuitive and the app crashes frequently. The notifications have not been working properly and it seems as if there is no way to check things off of the task lists you create which seems like it would be a day one function. I’ll admit I’m new and may not understand or be aware of all of the functionalities but even with that aside the crashing and cheap look and feel of the app is enough to turn me away. I would opt for something free like Google Calendar or Structured if willing to pay. As these apps seem to do everything My Study Life does but in a more polished and effective manner.

   would give zero stars if i could. i used to use the old site for six years and it was so much better and user friendly - now they’ve updated and changed everything and it’s horrible. none of my classes will save and anytime i try to add any classes or tasks all the info i’ve entered gets changed or duplicated like six times. if you try to enter the term for a class it changes it to a single event and won’t let you change it back to recurring. not cool, MSL.

    New update is disappointing. Will be deleting.. I’ve been using this app for 5 years, from high-school into college, and it’s always been an amazing tool for me; I’ve recommended it to so many people, and have rarely had any complaints. However, with the new update, it’s unusable. I just got the new update midway through the semester, and suddenly all my data is gone. All of the classes and assignments I’ve been loading in since August, gone. And now, when I try to put in my classes again, it wont let me, because the new system requires you to put in a subject—and none of my higher level college classes fit into the provided options. Even if I put it in as a random subject, I still cant see the class in the app, or put assignments in (because once again, there’s only a preset list of subjects). I tried to work with the new update, but clearly it’s not going to work out. However, it seems that all of your responses to other concerned users have been dismissive of the obvious shortfalls, so I don’t expect much. Just wanted to let you know that you are losing a long time user, and that perhaps you should reconsider the direction youre moving in, if these “improvements” are only chasing people away.

    Annoying to do anything. From the App Store this app looks pretty nice. Unfortunately half of the features are premium (give us a one time purchase option) and when trying to add classes I realized adding a language class isn’t possible because the devs minds are too smooth and simple to comprehend people wanting to take something other than “geography”

    Disappointed. I used to have the version before and I loved it. It was very organizing and it helped lots with less limitation. Now, there is a whole subscription that takes the things out of the already bad update and makes it even more lifeless and plain and there is barely any avavible features for free users. This update is to be honest very useless and was not needed.

    update is such a downgrade. The previous version of the app and website made everything so easy to manage tasks, classes, and schedules. I’ve been using the old version since high school and this new version has been so hard to use. I also didn’t like the fact that I had to make a new account despite already having one with the old version. Syncing my previous schedule, classes, and tasks to the new version also didn’t work. It made everything messy and pointless by making every single class, schedule, and assignment from years ago, exist to the present. I will not and have not been using it since everything changed.

    Find something else. Waste of money. App Does not sync with calendar. The Ai scheduler does not work properly and puts schedule on the wrong dates. Support team does not answer messages or offer help. I want a refund. I was excited about using this app for the school year but now I have to find something else since this app did not help organize my schedule at all. I need a refund. DO NOT USE THIS APP.

    not as good. i dont like how it signs me out every 30 minutes, it makes it unbearable to use! The UI just isnt as good and i feel like info isnt as immediately accessible at a glance, such as class information. It’s very sad because I used this app throughout my entire undergrad years and used to recommend it to everyone I knew, but now I can’t do that anymore.

    New update ruined the app. It is clear that the developers are now prioritizing profits over the actual user experience. The old app had an extremely easy to understand and quick to use interface, wasnt blindingly bright (behind a paywall I might add), and wasn’t needlessly complex. This new version adds a ton of unnecessary features that make this feel like their focus isnt even on being a assignment planning app anymore. If I wanted study timers, I’d just set them up on my phone! I tried to see how long I could use the old interface without using the garbage new one, but now they have taken away our ability to even use that. $30 a year subscription for what? I’d have been at least willing to pay that price before this app was ruined, but with this garbage complete redesign I am actively telling the people I recommended it to previously to switch to another app. At this point I have been forced to move to another app to plan my assignments because of these changes. Even if the old site was reestablished exactly the way it was previously, I would spend a considerable amount of time trying the alternatives so that I can’t get shafted by a forced change like this again. I cannot believe that after a year of constant complaints from users about the redesign, you would force everyone to use an inferior product and still expect them to pay for it. I just hope any of the users’ feedback actually reaches your leadership or else there really isn’t going to be anything stopping the app’s permanent closure. Good riddance and goodbye.

    disappointed with new update. i absolutely LOVED this planner before!! it got me through high school and half of college, but this new update is terrible. i just want the old planner back so much. everything runs slow, its visually unappealing, and its hard to use now.

    Update makes it unusable. I’ve been using this app since middle school and have always loved how the website and the app go hand in hand and would have easily given it five stars however ever since the new update not only is it not really user friendly but I can no longer use the website and have my updates transfer to the app. The layout is super confusing and honestly annoying to figure out. I miss the old simple interface and layout that once was. My classes do not always allow me to take my phone out to use it and so that’s why I liked the link between the website and the app however now I guess I’ll only be using the website until it gets updated as well. Update: website is also down and the new one is awful. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!! I am not touching this brand again until they start fixing their awful Ui. My Ui class analyzed the app and web Ui and called it worse than we make in a beginner level class. Please just leave it alone and go back to what make you guys awesome cause this is not it.

    old web version gone. i wasn’t planning to write a review (even in spite of my dissatisfaction with the glitchy and confusing updated version), but it appears as though the old web version is being taken down. i understand there is only so much you can do, but it is extremely disappointing for users who much preferred the old version to the new one. furthermore, with the numerous requests to bring back the old version, it seems counterintuitive to wipe the last existing instance of the simpler version of this app without attempting to back it up for later — we all know how that turned out the last time your program was scrapped. not sure if it is too late for an effort to be made towards saving the old version, and if it isn’t, it may be some work for the team that may not sound ideal in the short run. however, i am certain that a complete transition over to the new version would be detrimental in the long run. for now, i will be switching over to power planner — highly recommend for those of you who liked the previous version of this app!

    Missing the Old Version. This is more for the computer version: The old version was absolutely perfect. I’ve been using MSL since I was a freshmen (2022), and I was so impressed with the organization, color coordination, and just how easy it made life! I loved how simple and user-friendly it was too! I didn’t care about syncing it to my phone, as I always had my computer with me when I needed to use MSL. Now, the new version is honestly ugly. The interface is NOT user friendly, it’s buggy, glitchy, and makes my computer overheat trying to load all the unnecessary things have been added. I don’t need a focus timer, vacations, and why is the add new button on the bottom of the page? The data import from the old version doesn’t work either. It kept pulling some classes I had from 2023 with the upcoming classes, and had all the times incredibly wrong. I really wish you guys didn’t make the decision to abandon the old version for whatever this is. Cut your loses, honestly.

    I miss the old one!!. There was no reason at all to mess with the simplicity of the app!! I’ve used this app for a long time and it’s helped me get through lots of stressful years, but the update is just horrible to look at and complicated. The new features could have just been added to the old layout!!!!!!

    recent changes. usually i never write reviews but the recent updates to this app have greatly saddened me. i have used this app for YEARS, it was my go to all throughout college and i was excited to use it for medical school as well. unfortunately, the developers have decided to make numerous changes that make both the mobile and web versions of the app impossible to use, and so i will be deleting my account and finding a new planner app. the beauty of this app used to be how intuitive and simple it was to use, as well as the fact that all features were free. now the UI is awful, nothing syncs between the mobile and web accounts, and all of the new features are locked behind a paywall. at this point I'm not even sure what the point of the update was. i recommended this app to so many friends and family over the years because it was such an integral part of my productivity, and it's incredibly sad to see that the developers have completely ignored the suggestions of the user base to destroy the functionality of the app and make it a cash grab

    No grade tracking. It says very clearly that it has grade tracking but that’s evidently not the case. Also, I can’t cancel my premium subscription which I only got because it was supposed to give me access to grade tracking.

    No notifications for tasks. This app will not notify me in any way despite what the settings are in iOS and the app. How can I decide if I want the premium version if the most basic functionality of a homework app doesn't work or exist? Is there an updated support page?

    I hate the update. This app was perfectly fine and helpful before, but the new version is buggy, displays classes that have already passed as “up next”, and no longer tells me how long I have until a class which was my favorite feature. I also can’t see when my classes end on my schedule for some reason? How hard is it to display “12-1pm” instead of just “at 12pm”?? I try to add a class and it repeatedly schedules it from 11am-12pm even though I’ve triple checked that I input 12-1pm and deleted the class and tried again over and over again and it WONT FLIPPING WORK!!! The new version fills me with rage and heavily makes me consider jumping ship to google calendar.

    One of the worst and most dysfunctional apps I’ve ever used. Changed the time of all of the classes on my calendar every single day seemingly to random times, will randomly delete my classes or subjects, randomly signs me out and makes me add all of my classes back again. Don’t know why I keep trying to make this app work. Woke up today and my 11am - 11:50 that’s is now changed to 3am - 3:50 today (Just got a notification that my class was in 15 minutes right before I’m about to go to sleep)
