   New update has a problem. I am now unable to use the app to view any future events. I can only view this week (in week view) and this month (in month view)

   2.12.0 is Awful. The 2.12.0 update awful. After the most recent update adding events to the calendar requires so many extra steps. Previously, I could easily change to the next week or month and add an event. However, now the only way to leave the current week is to change to the month view, tap a day to then enter week view then I can add events. Also, the ability to tap a day to add an event for that day has been removed. The only way to add an event now is to tap the plus in the bottom right, choose event, then you have to make sure to update the day since you can’t pick the day from the week view and then add as before. This is the same on iOS and MacOS. Huge loss in ease of use and navigation. But don’t worry you can now pay a higher sub to get Disney and Marvel characters while it takes 5 additional steps to add something to the calendar. Definitely do not upgrade if you like the old way to update events on the calendar.

   Bug. This app has been working great until this morning when I opened it up to look up an event next month and I cannot scroll to the next month. It looks like an update was done recently so that would explain the sudden in ability to be able to look forward in my calendar. This app is the LifeLine to my family schedule and without being able to look ahead it’s now useless.

   App Is Terrible. Your app is terrible. It never communicates with my phone like it’s supposed to. Your directions for getting the app to connect with my phone calendar are outdated and have never worked. I have to manually enter everything onto my phone calendar as well as enter everything into the Skylight calendar for my family to see. Today, I went into the app to look at an upcoming event. I could clearly see the event on the app on my phone AND on the wall calendar. However, when I click on the event in the app, it says the event isn’t available and may have been deleted. But it hasn’t been deleted because I can see it. The app sucks. Please fix it because we’ve spent a lot of money on this product and it’s. It saving me time like it advertises.

   Latest update broke the app. I keep getting a message saying to allow permission to access my photos and then when I go to settings, there is no option to turn on. This app is extremely frustrating and buggy and doesn’t function as its basic design intended - to share photos over distances. Please fix this so it is usable again.

   Doesn’t sync. Worked fine for 2 weeks and now when adding things to grocery list the lists it refuses to sync between the calendar, my phone, or my wife’s. All lists are completely different and it won’t organize it anymore.

   Cannot activate account. Not off to a good start with this. It is not recognizing my email. I set up an account with, and when it sends me a verification code, it tells me it’s wrong. I have gone through this five times and I cannot get in to start up my Skylight

    App full Reset. App was synced to device, then suddenly it’s like it a brand new install? How is this even possible, the IOS on my phone updated, but if that drives full resync to device, that’s an epic fail

    App sucks and is slow. I’ve had this app for now 3 months and the calendar worked fine the first month and second and third month I could not even pull up my calendar. The rest of the the other stuff is fine but for what you pay, this product should be spotless and at least open things up quickly so you can add stuff to the calendar. I regret buying it.

    Great until it stops working. Customer support is useless. App stopped working and all the steps to fix the sync issues made it so I couldn’t even access the calendar. No help whatsoever from support.

    Update. The update they made sucks, things are now clumsy and don’t work the way they originally did. When I try to select photos and drag to select many it half the time does not work and errors out causing me to restart the app.

    Broke after a year. The concept of the skylight is fantastic. However, mine broke after one year of utilizing it. Not worth the money and the subscription is a joke.

    Terrible task interface. This is the most frustrating task interface I've ever encountered (I've used several "To do" type apps for iOS, paid and free). TL;DR: The root of the problem lies in how tasks are handled by the OS. Rather than tasks being saved as a single, recurring task, assigning a recurrence creates a *new task* under the assigned person/date/time. So one task in the "task box" (e.g., clean bathroom) assigned to multiple individuals with recurring frequency creates dozens of tasks with no centralized editability. Accidentally save it to recur on Fridays instead of Saturdays, so you go back into the task and edit it to Saturdays? Congratulations, now you have recurring tasks on Fridays *and* Saturdays. You'll need to go to all assigned individuals and delete the entire series of each occurrence. We had chores assigned to days of the week and sometimes alternating weeks (taking out garbage, etc.). We went to change them, and rather than editing "taking out garbage," we had to go to every assigned day, on every assigned week, for every assigned individual, and delete that task series, then make a new series by week/day/individual. Across several tasks, days, and individuals, it was a nightmare. Ultimately, I went into "task box" and deleted every task... but we still have *weeks* (months? Years?) of outdated/incorrect tasks because it just copied and pasted the initial task across individuals and over time. Now I have a million intermittently occurring tasks that have to be individually changed rather than changing the task and the change reflecting appropriately, like it would on an iOS or Outlook or any other calendar/reminder/task. Initial setup was just fine, but making changes was disastrous. Like another reviewer here, we have several children and a medically complex infant/toddler requiring care coordination. Worked well once, but the flaw in task handling made us want to delete everything and start from scratch (or look for another platform). There is more, but this is the single biggest flaw in the Skylight interface for our family.

    Terribly over complicated.. Notifications are turned off yet still getting rate this app popups. Overly complicated app. Terribly confusing when just trying to have all family members on the same calendar.

    Was good. Purchased the skylight calendar a year ago mostly for the fact that when I wasn’t using the calendar it would scroll through photos. Now I have to buy a subscription to see my photos. If I knew they were going to bait and switch I would have stuck with my paper calendar. Not worth the cost without the photo portion.

    App is horrible. I love my skylight calendar but the app is horrible and never works and always giving errors when trying to edit scheduled events. It makes it very frustrating especially with how much the yearly fee is. I hope they improve it!

    Questionable Security and Coding. UPDATE: We have replaced Skylight by linking our calendars with Claude. It’s 10x more powerful than the Skylight and you can avoid the Skylight user interface. If you know how to train an AI agent and can link it to your calendar, you’ll love it. I can just screen cap a lunch menu or class schedule for school and Claude creates each event accurately on the calendar. ——— We tried this calendar for a year. Many times important events we forwarded to the calendar using the “@ourskylight” email never loaded which caused significant scheduling issues. We just want to go back to using our prior calendar service (like Google/iCloud) and Skylight makes it impossible to export events out of their platform. That seems more punitive than a feature “miss.” This service does not support user friendly data portability.

    Doesn’t work. Just got my skylight and I can not get the app to work. The log on page just keeps cycling over and over again. I’ve tried all the fixes and nothing works!

    Requires very aggressively increasing annual renewals. Thought this was a cool idea, should’ve gone with the Amazon show. Didn’t realize you lose practically all features, but the calendar after the first year and then they charge you over $100 a year to renew just to get simple features like the picture frame which the unit is already very capable of but software locked. I recommend all my friends to stay far far away from Skylight.

    Really frustrating. Each time I try and upload more than 5-6 photos to my frame the app freezes and closes. I then have to re-add everything I had already done. When the pictures load the experience is great but more often than not I’m doing repetitive work bc the app I can’t handle my submission.

    Disappointed. It's almost impossible to upload pictures from the app because it constantly crashes. It also doesn’t allow me to select multiple pictures. I'm very surprised by the high rating of the app since it fails to perform its primary function.
