App appears to be abandoned. Privacy policy hasn't been updated since Apple required it starting last year. Developer replied about app not being updated because it doesn't need to be updated. They are apparently the worlds best software developers and have made the perfect software that wouldn't benefit from new features and is also completely bug free. They didn't address the lack of a privacy policy update. They could easily do that at least as a show of good will.

Inaccurate. Get SkyView Lite instead. This app points in the entirely wrong direction. The compass is off and the horizon is reversed somehow. I’ve now gone through app updates and iOS updates and no changes. The iPhone Compass app is correct as are all other navigation apps and SkyView Lite. THIS APP DOESN’T WORK!

One star. Has nothing to do with the quality of this app, which I suspect may be quite good, but only reflects the incessant nagging for a review since before I even got a chance to use it. Hopefully it will get them off my back for now until I can give a more honest review.

Pay money. Get an app that doesn’t always work with iPhone gyro. Also navigation is non-intuitive—really bad UI design. Don’t spend your money on this.

I am getting angry. The sky watch app does not work nor does it move. It gets stuck. Does not orient it self even if I push it around with my finger. August 30 2019 Now I have a large white circle in the center of the app screen. What is that all about?why is the visual being blocked?

love the app but. ...every time i reset my phone (about once a year) its impossible to find the app to re-download it. Goskywatch is not categorized under stars, stargazing, star watching or even “sky”. So it always takes me 10 minutes to remember the un-memorable name of the app. Which apparently isnt searchable in the app store unless we all remember the apps name.

Old version much better. Says wrong location at top of ap, I went here 3 years ago. I used to be able to point at bright stars and find the planets. Calibration seems off .

Bad app. This app used to be great but now it does not function properly nor does the gyro work on the app. You used to be able to point in the direction of the sky and it would automatically position to the stars in the direction you were pointing to. This app needs a lot of fixing as it has a lot of technical problems. This used to be a great app when it first came out.

Doesn't work on iPhone 6s. I spent an hour trying to get this to work. The compass always floats back to North. I tried recalibration it like 10 different ways. I looked at the manual, the FAQ everything. When I went to the support site there is a note that says "the compass on the iPhone 6s doesn't work with this app right now. We're looking into it". That should be in the front page before you pay $3.99.

Direction doesn’t work. I have used this app for years. The last year or so the compass doesn’t work correctly. It’s showing E when pointing to the SW on my iPhone. I’ve tried the tips, precise location and calibration with the figure 8 pattern. Nothing has worked. Perhaps someone can give me some advice as I’ve always loved this app. Thank you.

Great to find stars. It's a great look into the sky...when it works. Takes a few times to calibrate but when it does it is basically accurate. Can't look up Pleiades if you search for it

Directional Issues. Seems like a great app but has very poor directional alignment even after numerous attempts. We will keep trying. Unfortunately, due to this, it's not worth paying anything for the app. If there is a free version, suggest sticking to that.

Not always accurate. I have this on an iPad and iPhone. They don't agree. I know where south is and it tells me it is northeast. Used to be very accurate. Not sure what has happened. It asks to calibrate and still is inaccurate and neither apparatus agrees.

2 because it used to be good. with the latest hardware and software updates the motion doesn't work on my devices any more. probably more apples fault with changing hardware and coding all the time. The solution they will give you for the app is that you can turn off the motion part. Which seems like buying a car and only sitting in the drive way with it.... But hey who am I. so in the short it may not work with you ios with motion control. But hey it just might.
