   Time To Go Back To Open-Source. Making customers pay for a subscription for an app that used to be 100% free is absolutely atrocious. Pages’ used to be 100% free; now anything creative requires a subscription. I’m paying for enough subscriptions from Apple I’m NOT paying for a subscription to type some words. I can see that I will not be using this platform. I’m going back to Open-Source. Apple is definitely putting a disgusting taste in my mouth. I’m hoping the new CEO isn’t as…like the current one. Absolutely ridiculous.

   What the hell is going on with Apple. Apple software feels like a bad joke these days. Keychain has become a total nightmare with constant sync issues and conflicts, especially when using it alongside apps like 1Password. I do like some of the recent improvements, but overall I’m really disappointed with how unreliable the password management has gotten.

   Not what I expected. Took the free app for a month option, I’m sure glad I didn’t pay or this. All I wanted was a basic word processor and I can’t even buy the program I have to rent it by the month. Wrong answer, I’ve been with Mac since 1983 you guys are getting too much like Microsoft, I’m finished with you.

   Not logical. In order to use simple features like the footer, the heading and layout of tools is un-followable. Even after using ChatGPT, instruction where not able to be completed. Items as simple as a customer footer are time consuming. I would not recommend this product if you are a productive person.

   Lost 10 Hours Of Work. Spent 10hr on pages building/editing a document, went to bed at midnight when i finally had it finished to present at 8 a.m. the next morning. woke up, opened pages on my iPad for a quick review, the Pages app flashed! I literally saw the document that I had just spent all these hours on and then a pop-up came up. Said pages had updated and I had to hit “continue” to accept the new terms…. GONE! All The edits I had made in the last 10 hours were gone. I went to pages manager and selected the document to see my previous version, all the time stamps are there with no edits. The pages app literally saved nothing with no way of recovery it seems.

   New Pages. Please, please, please, add back the rulers on the side bar. I depended on that so much!!! I always use the rulers on top and bottom when setting up a graphic. I do hope this can be done promptly. I needed it this morning! Thanks

    The proofreader is a thief. Stole over two hundred pages of my work yesterday shortly after I upgraded the app. When I tried to revert to an earlier version it didn’t. When I tried again today, it did. I don’t trust pages anymore and I’ve used and loved this app for years. Bad proofreader!

    STOP Changing App with updates. They insist on changing things every update. I’ve been on the phone with Apple Care several times to figure out BASIC functions, like changing the color. Since the recent update, there’s a split screen that keeps coming on every time I open it, deselecting it doesn’t matter, it comes back every time and is unnecessary. And there’s added and ridiculous steps to change color. This was a simple step before the update. And the worst-If you have a single page document, you can no longer print it out on both sides-the advisor actually told me to print half the amount I need, then reinsert those in the printer. This is MORE time consuming and a huge step BACKWARD-but hey, we need to change things for the update whether they improve the app or not. STOP FIXING WHAT ISN’T BROKE. Work on keeping things safe and secure, not moving buttons and options around. After having only Apple iPads for years, I now have no choice but to find something a lot more user friendly and simple. Like this app USED to be. Also, it took me HOURS to reach Apple Care after their “support app” kept telling me they were closed. I pay for Apple Care every month, your “advisors” don’t seem to understand this or are uninformed, and would not help me reach an advisor until I figured it out myself (going through settings). Absolutely DREADING any future updates.

    Overheating. Overheated my band new M5 air when working on documents saved in iCloud. Way too processor heavy. Literally crashed my computer. I’ll stick with the old pages

    New Pages is waste of time!. The new Pages is nothing like the old Pages. The transition is too difficult. It’s trial and error. I don’t know how to maneuver through the new format. I’ve wasted so much time trying to create a document. I want to redownload the old app. I can’t get rid of the “lense”. This is crazy and very frustrating!!

    Update is Garbage. I guess apple updated to include this in their dumb subscription model. Functionality is impacted. Using a ton of memory. Bullets don’t work as well as before. Why waste my time with Pages if I’m just getting Microsoft for Mac functionality. My computer has frozen up a couple of times because of this program. Additional updates aren’t making much of a difference but there sure are a ton of them. Lots of requests to rate pages so here you go.

    Horrid. And now, not free or good.. This used to be a staple of the Mac. In fact, the entire iWork & iLife library was great. They were great because they did something different than every other company: they were either included most recently or a one-n-done purchase back then. Now, the app is HEAVILY pushing an agenda which is “subscribe and pay monthly” for the most basic of tools. You cannot use this app, Keynote or Numbers without being blasted with creator studio nonsense. Tahoe made this experience even worse by changing all of the icons we’ve known and used for 10+ years to something no one knows. The app is unstable, crashes, and is no longer a joy to use. I long for the days of Snow Leopard and iWork ’09 - but those days are long gone, as are the days of using Pages, Keynote & Numbers. Now we have an invisible OS, hieroglyphics, and pay for everything and own nothing models.

    Battery draining and overheating. Nearly 20 years and now I know why my Macs (all kind and complexity) heat up and run out of battery so fast — this overrated app is the sole reason for it. Jesus, Apple, fix it once and for all. Same goes for the rest of this bundle and Safari, BTW.

    Newest version crashes my computer constantly. I have a 2025 M4 MacBook and this new version of Pages causes my computer to crash on a regular basis. I am phasing away from it completely because it has a CPU % use over a 100 (at a minimum) at all times. Please stop updating and breaking stuff. No one needs these "fixes".

    Stop changing the app. Stop changing the app. I know you need a reason to justify your job, but stop changing what is working perfectly. Typewriters do not have tech garbage added on to them, they are steadfast and true. This newest version of the app, as of June 21st, 2026 is nonsensical garbage with some DISCOVER garbage choice. Just…STOP. Stop. Just stop. Stop.

    erratic. the system stops, starts, erratically every three or four seconds; it is doing this now as I type this review. The ‘wheel of doom’ comes on often, its operation is very erratic and annoying. I have spoken to your help desk many times and they have no solution.

    Basic Failure to Function. The idea is that you write something, have it in your files and then share it when you need to. When I create anything on Pages, I cannot find it or send it from my files. There is always a caption under every new project that says “Failed” I’m assuming failed to upload, and I can’t do anything with it.

    Delete. I wish i could delete this app so my files would not auto upload to a separate format. Maybe it’s something on my end but it is super freaking annoying to be trying to view a file in a separate app. I have word and Google Docs, no need for this on my iPad

    resource hog. this program devours CPU time because of a Corespotlight bug that can render my M4 MacBook pro inoperable, Apple needs to address this bug

    Unreliable. I was editing a file on my iPad over the weekend. When I tied to export it I got an error saying “File Deleted” and it erased all my progress. This is so annoying.
